Head of Operations, G4 UK
Farmer and achiever of several UK crop yield records. Leading nucleus seed producer to all the major European plant breeders. Served on panel of National Institute of Agricultural Botany and Processors and Growers Research Organisation and as a national judge for the Agricultural Trade Awards.
Barclays Bank Farm of the Year award winner; Barclays Bank business judge, DEFRA external project assessor, Chairman of the regional Farming Group for the Sustainable Strategy in Farming and Food and Institute of Directors ‘Director of the Month’.
Clifford is working with the United Nations and its various organizations and programmes in promoting the use and development of non-food uses of crops throughout the world. He also acts as a senior adviser on agriculture and bioenergy to the United Nations Foundation and works in particular with the UNF Bioenergy Initiative.
Clifford is a founding trustee of the Global Biotechnology Transfer Foundation currently in formation and which is concerned with the demonstration and provision of the latest biotechnology particularly to developing countries.Clifford's interests include motor rallying where he is a past International award winner and manufacturer supported privateer driver representing both Ford and Nissan.

Following an initial career in the British Forces, Roy has since held a number of senior positions in British Industrial companies.
In 2001 Roy, as Managing Director, started a new company from scratch along with key core staff including Mike Pond. This company, from a clean start was turning over £30m per annum within six years.
The company subsequently developed to become one of the Government’s prime suppliers of Field Support Systems to the Ministry of Defence, FCO, Home Office, as well as other blue-chip prime contracting companies.
Roy is currently Executive Director of G4 Industries Limited.
Roy’s core strength has always been in the strategic development of companies and he brings both innovation and business management skill to the company. - Mike Pond C Eng MIoD

Executive Director, G4 Industries Ltd
Mike has worked in the defence and natural resource industries for more than 25 years across a range of different roles and equipment areas.
He started his career with MSI Defence Systems as a design and service engineer and took a leading role in the development of the first non hull penetrating submarine mast in service with UK MoD. He also project managed sea trials of the first shipborne high power laser range finder system which lead to a new generation of rate aided stabilised platform systems in service today.
As Mike’s career progressed he had positions at MSI as Post-Design Services Manager, In-Service Support Manager and Director Mobility & Logistic before being head hunted by The Anteon Corporation in 1998 as Technical Director, providing overall technical systems expertise and business change management which led to doubling the European sales turnover.
Mike was a founder member of G3 Systems with Roy Ashurst in 2001. The company saw continued growth year on year and exceeded its targets of both revenue and profit before being sold to a large American organisation.
Mike is now Executive Director of G4 Industries Limited. - Steve Ashurst MIoD

An experienced sales and marketing executive whose background is in commercial multinational capital equipment sales.
Steve started his career with Domino Printing Sciences, initially as sales administrator and progressing through the ranks as account manager, area sales manager and finally as UK OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manager.
During this time Steve was sales manager of the year three years running and still holds the unbeaten record for sales revenue for an individual sales manager. Customer base ranged from BAT, Budweiser, Scottish Courage and Craft Jacobs Suchard.
Steve joined G3 Systems in 2003 and subsequently took up a Business Development Director post in 2005 where the department enjoyed success and sustained growth following contract securement with a number of high-profile customers.
During Steve’s time with G3 Systems turnover more than doubled and he left the company with a substantial order book. - Nigel Vernon

Business Support Manager, G4 Industries Ltd
A design educated professional with extensive systems design experience across the defence, medical and humanitarian sectors.
Nigel carries considerable proposal generation expertise, helping attain successful contracts with high-level clients such as the UK MoD, Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Home Office, NAMSA and the NHS.
Nigel leads and co-ordinates the G4 Industries proposal process; from requirement analysis and concept system design through to management of third party bid input. Nigel also benefits from significant graphics capabilities, enabling detailed system concepts to be rapidly generated and understood by clients of all levels of technical capability. - David Smith

David started his career in hotel management but has been involved in complex project management for over 20 years.
David spent several years as a Project Director for a FTSE 100 service company during which he led large infra structure projects in the UK, including a number of leading PFI projects. He has also undertaken a number of senior management roles in Japan, New Zealand, Sweden and Hong Kong.

Flemming has worked in the international business environment for the past 18 years first as Export Sales Manager and later Sales Director for a company selling specialised container equipment globally, but latest several years as Chief Operating Officer at DCS Group, a logistic and support company with widespread activities within camp support, humanitarian aid and oil distribution in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Henrik has held numerous positions in various Danish businesses through his career, mostly either as CFO or CEO. For the past 3 years he has been CEO at DCS Group, a logistic and Support Company with widespread activities within camp support, humanitarian aid and oil distribution in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Henrik has through his career specialised in international finance and has a widespread global network with banks and financial institutions. He also holds positions either as board member or chairman of the board in numerous companies in different business sectors. - Niki Spencer - Higher National Diploma (Computing)

Executive Director G4 SSD (Research & Development)
Niki comes from a leading UK farming family and grew up and trained on one of the UK's premier and award winning farms situated in Yorkshire.
Apart from being highly qualified in computing Niki has been involved in the field of Bioenergy for several years where he has produced considerable research output and has investigated all the new cropping and processing technologies concerned with biomass power. In that role he has worked both in South America and Africa where biomass developments are considered to have the greatest potential.
Niki is currently developing a seeds to energy project with the Institute for Crop Research in the Semi Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) primarily based in Africa. He is also working on cropping for bioenergy developments in Brazil, The Far East and The Middle East.
His hobbies include computer gaming, fitness training and dirt biking.

G4 WAO Director and in country managerNik also runs an established UK farming operation which operates a farm contracting service to the arable industry and he is a fully qualified pesticides specialist (PA1 and PA2) and a practitioner within the UK Voluntary Initiative for Chemical Usage and Environmental Protection in AgricultureHe is a time served and highly experienced agricultural operator with considerable experience in high security site operation.In 2007 he initiated the G4 logging and timber operation in Liberia and is formally qualified in matters such as chainsaw operation.Nik acts as consultant for several agricultural projects.Nik's varied interests include Shooting, Conservation and Motorcycle riding.

ESLI General Manager
Ria has significant experience in the 'natural products' field and in particular of plant oils and fibres.
She is a previous Managing Director of a specialist food company dealing in natural oils and she has successfully marketed products to several leading UK retail chains and supermarkets. Ria has a detailed knowledge of cosmetic products and their technologies and she was closely associated with the testing and patenting of the ESLI One product.
Ria has studied textiles as a specialty subject and her detailed knowledge and understanding of natural fibres and their products has also seen Ria recently developing a G4 hemp product (Hempstruct) for construction.
Ria's other interests include Art and Music. She has some prior experience of work in the professional music industry.
